Glasgow Under 17s progress [posted 05/09/10]

The Glasgow Under 17s saw off a challenge from Pentland Under 17s in the semi-final of the Under 17 Inter-Area competition and now progress to the final.  Played at Titwood this afternoon, the match saw a comprehensive win for the Glasgow boys who, batting first, posted 227.  The central plank of the innings was 77 from Poloc CC's Scott Millen, with valuable contributions from Shawholm club-mate Craig Young (29) and Clydesdale CC's Hamid Mahmood (42).  In their reply the Pentland side mustered just 109, with two wickets apiece for Mahmood and Shreyas Chitnis, also of Clydesdale CC.  The full scorecard is online.  The Glasgow Under 17s await news of their final opponents.

Ayrshire Under 13s win again [posted 04/09/10]

New Cambusdoon was the venue for the latest Under 13 Inter-Area competition match - Ayrshire Under 13s defeating visitors North Glasgow Under 13s.  The scorecard is online. Batting first the home side posted 151 all out, the visitors from Glasgow mustering just 76 all out in reply.
